A Dog With a Bone

Wow what a day - dog lovers, this one's for you.  We have two dogs at our house, a more mature well-behaved girl that has been with us 11 years.  You'd never know she's around unless someone strange comes to the door.  She does her job then!  The other is a seven month old Rottweiler, Abe.  He's been a challenge - we haven't raised a puppy for 30 years!  But, we wanted one to be good with kids and learn to chase the deer and learn from the old girl, so we embarked on the puppy phase.  Our other dogs all came to us as older "adoptees".    Anyway, this puppy is teaching us a thing or two.

Since we live out in the middle of 40 acres and deer season has just past, there have been a few "parts" turning up in the yard lately.  He's learned the value of a deer leg.  It's gross, but it's what we deal with out here.  If you use your imagination, it's kind of like those hoofs you can buy at Wal-Mart, this one just has a little more bone left on it.  The coyotes and wild critters have taken care of most of the rest, but he loves to pack around the remaining leg.  Today Abe wouldn't even put it down to finish his food, he kept wanting to bring it in the house - which is strictly forbidden!

As I was laughing at him being so focused on his bone and not even wanting his breakfast, I got to thinking about that old expression "Like a dog with a bone."

I am looking for a few folks as determined as Abe!  Determined to make a living online from home in their spare time.  Willing to be as focused as "A Dog With a Bone."  Just imagine the success!
